History

Located in the heart of H.B. Town, Sodepur, flanked by Sodepur Railway Station and B.T. Road on one side, and Madhyamgram on the other, Sushil Krishna Sikshayatan Primary School (Pin Code : 700110) is one of the most prestigious institutions within the purview of Panihati Municipality. It comes under the jurisdiction of Khardah South Circle, DPSC, North 24 Parganas. Ever since inception, our school has traversed a steep, uphill climb toward excellence second only to our teachers' expertise at their craft, and we hope to continue to grow exponentially-- even more so-- in the future.

More often than not, a sense of rootedness and cultural heritage-- however nominal-- paves the way for a glorious tomorrow. The historical backdrop of our school will thus continue to inspire the generations to come. Established 16th August, 1953, Sushil Krishna Sikshayatan (Primary Section) is affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. Starting out as the promising seed to a brilliant idea-- that of educating and edifying young minds (especially those that are underprivileged) into our future leaders, our school has transformed into the humongous, busy institution it is today in a matter of a few years. Since the beginning, our teachers have been religiously dedicated to the holistic learning and development of the youngsters entrusted to us. They have been, and still are in the truest sense, artisans who build the society. Hence, our school has yielded countless dignitaries across a plethora of fields. Held as one of the leading schools in Sodepur, we can boast of a stellar alumni consisting of Doctors, Engineers, Teachers, Bureaucrats, Entrepreneurs, Writers among others.

Our school has won several accolades and honors not only within the sphere of the curriculum, but for myriad co-curricular activities such as drawing, singing, recitation and sports also. We intend to, in this manner, carry forward our pursuit of perfection, so that our school may one day evolve to become the herald of positive change in school management and education.

As our working days pass happily by amid the chirrupings of some 500 odd little birdlings in our sprawling campus, we sincerely hope that we educate them well enough : so much so that once they spread their wings, the sky is the limit.
