In early 1950, Late Tajjamul Hussain, an educationalist established Kamarhati Junior High School (Co-Edu) on his own plot at 81, Toot Bagan, Kamarhati, Kolkata - 700058 neasuring 7 kathas more or less with the Co-operation and support of the education loving people of the area, the main objective to set up this institution was to eradicate illiteracy of the area and to stop the dropout of the Students who after completion of their Primary education had to say good-bye  to their academic career for ever since there was neither Junior nor High School of under urdu medium school within the  radius of fifteen Kilometer, this school was recognized as class VIII junior High school in 1968 and upto class X in 1978 by the West bengal Board of Secondary education, the school come in grant-in- aid in 1980. In 1985, West Bengal; council of Higher Secondary education recognized it as class XII in Arts and Commerce Stream.
