History

Way back in 1951, a group of enthusiastic people decided to set up a school for the refugees at Belgharia  JatindasNagar. It was a period of long struggle. However, the school continued in a makeshift structure until 1968 when the school building was shifted to its present location. At that point in time, the entire area had a lot of marsh land around it. The first headmaster was Mr Akhil Chakraborty. He was followed by Mr Brajo Rakhal Bandopadhyay. He was followed by subarno Kumar Choudhary. The period of of this particular headmaster is generally reckoned to be the beginning of golden period for or the school. He was followed by Dinesh Chandra Majumdar and Mr Prasun  Pait Chaudhari. At present, Mr Mrinal Kanti Mishra is at the helm of running the school and maintain its hard-earned glory. The institution has been a subject of several unrest, but every time it has emerged from the problems around it like a phoenix arises from its ashes. The institution is determined to continue on its path of discipline sincerity and commitment.
