History
In the year 1865 on 19 th March Baranagar Rajkumari Memorial Girls' High School started the journey by her founder - the great social worker Late Sashipada Bandopadhyee. He worked hard for the development of the school throughout his life. In the journey of successful 155 years to build the school as a perfect educational institution with a bright history Sri Sashanka Shekhar Chakraborty, Sri Tinkori Moitra, Sri Kanaylal Dhole, Dr.Kanaylal Pal, Sri Anukul Chandra Bandopadhyee and Sri Panchanan Neogi contributed a lot. Their names will be written in golden letters in the history of Baranagar Rajkumari Memorial Girls 'High School for ever. The name of school was changed for several times. Rajkumari Devi , the first lady who went abroad for studies was Sashipada Bandopadhyee's wife and she was the soul of this school. After her death at the age of only 29 years her son Sir Albion Rajkumari Bandopadhyee finalized the present name of the school.
In the year 1950 the school got affiliation as a high school from Calcutta University and Sashimukhi Bhaduri took the charge of Head Mistress.
Her guidance and heartiest effort of all assistant teachers made the school an ideal one. After Sashimukhi Bhaduri Karuna Bhattacharjee acted as her perfect heir. Later on Shibani Chattopadhayee and Kumkum Sengupta directed the school to the right way.Assistant head mistress Hashi Dasgupta and Mira Mukherjee were the two efficient co worker who deserve special regard. After retirement of Kumkum Sengupta as headmistress it took almost five years to get new Head Mistress . During this period assistant Head Mistress Jayasree Majumdar directed the school with her great efficiency as teacher in charge. In 2019 on 19 th July Payel Dey took the charge of Head Mistress and surely with cooperation of all the teaching and non teaching staffs of the school guide the students to be an independent , self dependent perfect human being so that they can make the school feel proud achieving success within the country and abroad.
