Alambazar Urdu School began its journey in 1969. It was in this year that the unauthorised occupation of the incomplete two storied building of "Madrasah Islahul Muslemeen" got evacuated with the efforts of persons interested in education for the children of the locality. Considering the need of modern education, these people resolved to establish school in place of the traditional Madrasah. In this way this school came into existance in 1969. The then Governement recognised by Primay School w.e.f. 1971 and it became ALAMBAZAR URDU FREE PRIMARY SCHOOL. It has been catering to the educational need of a large number of children as it is the only school of its kind under the jurisdiction of Baranagar Municipality and Baranagar Police Station under 113 - Baranagar Assembly Constituency.
