History

Bonhugly Girls High School has completed a journey of 66 years . The institution was established in 1954 and got its recognition in 1958 . Smt Biva Ghosh dostidar , the first Headmistress had started running the institution in a rented house together with Smt Kamala Chatterjee .Later the school authorities purchased the adjacent land and the new school building was eventually constructed . In the year 1997 the pucca school building was inaugurated . It was still then a Morning School . Since the year 2004 the school started running as a day school . The school successfully celebrated its silver jubilee in the year 2008 . An additional classroom was constructed in the first floor of the building with the aid of Financial assistance from the existing MP . Inspite of all hurdles the school still cherishes the idea of imparting the best education to children ,
