History

Sinthi RBT Vidyapith(H.S) was established in a memorable day of Indian History i.e on the 26th Day of January ,in 1950,the Republic Day of India,with financial aid and ardent effort of the neighbouring people tremendously enthusiastic and keenly interested in Education in memory of great Rai Bahadur Badridas Tulsan(RBT).

• The Institution started its journey amidst numerous adversities along with about 125--140 students and 7--8 teachers in the dilapidated mansion of the Rai Bahadur.
• Recognized as High School in 1952 under WBBSE
• Sri Nibaran Ch. Dey (1950--1952) was the first Headmaster of the Institution.
• The former Chief-Minister revered Mr. Prafulla Ch.Sen was the first President of the Managing Committee of the School.He contributed a lot for the development of the Institution.
• The succeeding Headmasters of the Institution Sri Bibhuti Bhusan Chakraborty(1952--1979),Sri Bhanujyoti Chowdhury (1980--1997),Sri Swadesranjan Samanta (1997--2012)had aiso left remarkable impact on and contribution to the flourishment of the Institution.
• Upgraded to Old Higher Secondary School only with Arts Stream in 1961.
• Received permission of Science and Commerce Stream in H.S Section in 1962.
• Recognized as Higher Secondary School in 1984 under WBCHSE.
• Turned into Govt. Sponsored School in 2013.

With sincere endeavour of teaching and non-teaching staff,members of the Managing Committee,guardians and local well-wishers, the Institution aims to cater to the educational needs of the children particularly of the distressed and down-trodden communities of the society.
