Sarat Chandra Dhar Balika Vidyalaya 

Over view: 

Baranagar Sarat Chandra Dhar Balika Vidyalaya is a Bengali medium Govt.Sponsored girls’ high school. The school was founded to fulfil the need for a secondary school for the children who completed their primary education in Baranagar Sarat Chandra Dhar vidyamandir. 

The school was started in January 1954, with the enthusiasm of some local educationist and social workers. The school is set on spacious ground in a residential area. The schools community comprises of a wide range of cultural and socio-economic background. 

Admission to the school is open to all depending on the availability of seats.However; children who pass with a report of good conduct from  Sarat Chandra  Dhar Vidyamandir are automatically accepted here. 

The school aims to create a caring, harmonions and student-centred learning in a disciplined environment. The school activities support the students to become confident resourceful and responsible citizens. The playground of the school make the  natural atmosphere conducive for studies.Quiz,drama,dance,drawing,yoga,Aerobics,kho -kho,kabaddi,Football,Gymnastic,excursions are  some of the  co curricular  activities organized  from time to time. The school has a record of excellence in different sports activities.
