History

Dum Dum Airport High School is a oldest school at Dum Dum. It was established on 1949 by the employees of Civil Aviation Department and CPWD, Government of India. 

The primary aim was to offer basic school find education to the children of the above noted employees.

This school was first recognised on 16th April 1964. Next on 26th April 1964 the school was recognised as class X (Memo No. 8523/G/1 dt 26.4.63).

The school was recognised as HS school on 27.08.1977. Final recognition as HS was received on 27.07.1991(Memo No. 5036/recognised/31 dt 27.7.91).
