History

This School was established in the year 1958.The name of our first Headmaster was Late. Amulya Kanchan Dutta Roy,a freedom-fighter.With him some educationists of the locality established this institution with a view  to cater to  the light of education to the sons and daughters of some root-less people coming mostly from then East Pakistan.It started with a Junior High School (class II & IV)in a mud-walled and thatching-roof building.Later on,the school was upgraded to a X-Class High School in the year 1961.Still later on,it was further upgraded to a Higher Secondary School with Co-education in the year 1995.Today,we have a sprayling three-storied building with almost all basic amenities---Auditorium,Gym,Smart Classroom,ICT Computer Lab,Phy,Chem,Geog,Nut,Biology Lab.Girls and Boys Commonroom,well-equipped Library with reading facility etc.The school has produced a constelation of students of repute---Doctors,Teachers,Engineers,Scientists,Singers,Sports personalities,Successful Businessmen etc.
