History

Birati High School( H.S.) was estblished in the 1952 by educational enthusiasts who settled in the area form East Bengal after the partition. From humble beginnings in a two room hut , it has now grown into one of the most renowned educational institutions in the North Dum Dum Municipal area. iIn 1958 it was upgraded to a High School by the Board and in 1988 it was recognised as a Higher Secondary School by the WBCHSE.
