The school recognised as 2 class jr. high school by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education in 1964. Then recognised as 4 class jr. high school in 1965 and graded as x class high school by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education in1969 ,and upgraded into H.S in 2002.
