History

PUNRA BALIKA VIDYALAYA was established in the year 1961.The school was founded by Sripati Bhushan Mukhopadhay. The school started its Primary Level of Education with 5 students. With time students in the Primary Level increased which inspired the school committee to further the education for girls and hence, now it has become a High School providing education till class 10.
