Established in the remote but flourishing village of Baligori,on a piece of land donated by the famous Dutta family,beside the tempal town Tarakeswar,this school got Govt recognition as a Middle Schoolin 1953(Memo No.-1086/ME-99 Dt.-31/03/1953).This was a dreams come true moment for some aspiring and unputdownable youths of the locality,who dreamt big of haveing a high school for the underprivileged but promising young children of the locality.Here we mention with reverence some of the stalwarts who,with untiring efforts,valuable time and intellect,with the help of the local pepole and administration,set up this institution and make it grow in size and reputation.

Their efforts bore more fruits when it became a Junior High School in 1957(Vide Memo No. - 159/NE-5 Dt.-11/04/1957) and then a High School in 1964(Vide Memo No.- 4384/G Dt.- 01/01/1964).In 2012 this school added a new feather to its crown when West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education(HS code-17350)recognised it green signalling to start Arts & Science streams with thirteen subjects.
