History

Raghunathpur Junior High School is a co-ed New Set Up Upper Primary school situated in the heart of the village Raghunathpur beside Radhanagar which is the birthplace and where is the ancestral house of great scholar, stalwart personality and Maker of Modern India, Raja Rammohan Roy. The school was recognized in 2009 and was established in 2010 under the supervision of the then Ad-Hoc committee and classes started on and from 12/04/2010 with the appointment of 3 Guest Teacher. The school was established in an intention to impart quality education to the rural boys and girls within village area as there was no High School there and the  nearest High School is 3 km away  from the village.

At first classes started sharing only 2 rooms of adjoining primary school named RAJA RAMMOHAN PRIMARY SCHOOL. Later with effort from the core of  heart of three person named SAMARESH DAS (MEMBER SECRETARY), MAYUKH MONDAL (TEACHER IN CHARGE) & GOPAL KRISHNA GHOSH (WELL WISHER & FORMER TEACHER OF RR PRIMARY SCHOOL), the school building started & completed successfully for the smooth running of school. Till then the school is on its way to prosper day by day.
