History

            Chankpur HM High School is situated at Village - Chankpur,PO- Prosadpur,PS - Jangipara,Serampore,Hooghly.This institution is established on 01/04/1958 as a Junior High School with two classes ie V to VI.From 01/04/1960 the school was upgraded to 4 class (V to VIII) Junior High School.Finally the school was upgraded as a High School(X-class) w.e.f. 01/01/2015.The institution is recognised by W.B.B.S.E. as an aided Co-educational institution.In the year 2017 this school was converted Govt. aided to Govt. Sponsored School.This school is now two storied building with 7 class rooms,ICT room,Library room,Staff room,Office room and kitchen cum store room for MDM.This school also has a big play ground.The school building is sorrounded by boundary wall.Now there are 191 students,6 teaching staffs including H.M.,one clerk and one ICT teacher.The result of MP exam is good.The land of the school building was donated by Late Khudi Ram Sinha Roy and Krishna Mohan Sinha Roy.
