HISTORY OF SCHOOL

The country has barely become independent. And on that occasion, from the city to the suburbs from village to village, there was a rush to spread education everywhere. It is also his turn to find a place for a new primary school in Bhanderhati village under Jangipara Police Station in Hooghly district. At that time the place was  also found. The place was donated by two relatives to a noble and kind person of the village. They are Shantilata Devi- Husband Ramgopal Chatterjee and Manik Mukherjee, father Taraprasanna Mukherjee. The two of them donated a total of 17 per cent land for the new school. Whose spot number : 207 and J.L: 37 . The time was early 1948. The school was recognized as Girish Chandra Primary School in April 1948. Hon'ble Panchanan Ghanta Mahasaya was appointed as the Head Teacher of the school. And from then on, the journey of Bhanderhati Girish Chandra Pry School started with more than a hundred students .
