History

On 16 th.July in 1921 , Late Jatindra Mohan Dutta of village Guti , P.S.-Jangipara , sub division -Serampore , district - Hooghly , inspired by his spiritual leader , founded the school in the memory of his father Late Uday Chand Dutta , in their own land and built a 2-storied pucca building with 8 rooms ., which is still stand in his position with glorious 100 years to complete . He also donated the land for playground for games and sports . In 2012 , adjacent land of the school building was bought by the school authority and extended the school building in horizontally and vertically .Now the building is partly 3-storied with  cycle stand , Mid Day Meal kitchen shed and a Mini Indoor Games Complex for indoor games having Table Tennis , Carrom , Chess etc. games facilities for students . 

Side by side , a Trust Committee named Guti Uday Chand Trust Committee was formed for the smooth running of the school and Rs. 42000.00 ( Rs. Forty thousand only ) have been deposited and fixed at that time to the Charitable Endowment Fund controlled by the State Goverment . From which , the State Govt. sanction and release the interest of that fund yearly to the Secretary of the Trust Committee and Trust Committee use the money for the development of the school and submit the Utilization Certificate to the Goverment in turn of the next year`s interest claim . Initially , salary of the teachers were met from that interest before the school comes under the Grant-in-aid scheme of the Govt. 

Initially , the school was a six class English school , then upgraded to class eight standard and recognised as a ten class school in 1951 . In 2002 , Higher Secondary Section ( class XI & XII ) of the school was introduced .
