The past of this school was not so smooth-running. There were neither enough classrooms nor enough students. But in spite of all these disadvantages some enthusiastic people of the village came forward with their helping hand. The school started in the varanda of the village Kali Mandir. This was the era of “pathshala”. Later the school was transferred to Nityananda Hazra’s sadar dalan. At that time the Registrar of the local Jamindar and the local homeopathic doctor Mr. Bharat Chandra Kumar came forward to set up the school’s own building. He requested Mr. Sarat Kumar Bandyapadhyay to donate land for the school building. Thus the school had got its own building. The school should always remember the contribution of the local enthusiasts like Dr. Naren Chandra Mukherjee, Kishori Mohan Hazra, Kishori Mohan Mukherjee, Nityananda Hazra, Basudeb Hazra, Krishnakanta Hazra, Bishnupada Hazra, Bijay Ghorui, Manyada Ghorui and others.
Soon the school began to flourish. In just three years the school was enrolled as M.E School. In 1962 the school moved to Junior High and in 1965 to High School. The School got recognition as Co-Ed school in 1978. Then with the effort from all corner, the school got recognition as Higher Secondary School in 2014. We were also the recipient of the Nirmal Vidyalaya Award in 2014.
Throughout the history, the school has remained committed to create an environment in which students are known, supported, challenged and encouraged to grow and prosper.
