OUR SCHOOL (BRIEF HISTORY)
Present of the past :-
Some records have it, a remote village in Pandua Block, Boinchigram is such, it was 19th century Bengal the renowned personality Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar a life long crusader of social justice and equity fought for spreading education in remote villages of Bengal happened to be an endearing acquaintance of great zaminder, Beharilal Mukherjee. A noble zaminder came face to face with a noble crusader of mass education the noble crusader saw the right way of getting establishment of an educational institution in the dwelling house of the zaminder. The man behind the screen was none but Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar whose life long dream for spreading education saw day’s light. After death of Beharilal, Kamale Kamini Devi, his wife, started to fulfill his mission in 1877 imparting education to the rural pupils of the large area. The marble images of the two the crusader and the accelerator cast smiles of satisfaction in the working of the institution.
So, it may say that, Beharilal Mukhopadhyay, who gave the school its crest and the motto, significant and suggestive of a noble ideal of an unconquerable hope, that urges the two pioneer to a consistent quest for the higher.
Passage of the Present :-
Now this grand old institution will going to across its 143 Nos. of historic spring to running on its path by creating social renovation through spreading education to down trodden pupils of remote places of this locality.
Hence, from the inception of the school (1877) it was recognized and affiliated Calcutta university and thereafter it came under grant in aid status of WBBSE in the year 1949.
This institution was upgraded to earstwhile H.S. in 1960 on wards then converted to new H.S. (ie. 10+2) in 1976. The school has opened computer education to taught the students from class V — XII by affiliation from the H.S. council on and from 2008.
At present the institution having near about 900 (nine hundred) students tought by qualified teachers. Authority took the responsibility in their shoulder to impart education. Inspite of mounting pressure of local area, admission process has been open upto its last capacity for the interest of the learners.
Our Institution has been performing its unforgettable glorious achievements to commemoreting its chequred career through the production of eminent and successful students. In M.P. & H.S. exam shows its royality.
