History

CHANDRABAN HIGH SCHOOL is situated at village Chandraban under Block & Sub- Division Arambagh in the distrrict of Hooghly. It was the last phase of  6th decade when a large number of generous people in the locality felt deeply for establishing a Secondary School in the village Chandraban. Among the generous persons Mr. Nimai Chandra Nandi came forward with utmost eagerness to set up a school in the village. For this Mr. Nandi donated a land of 50 Satak and established a Junior High School. It was recognized by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education vide Memo No. - 199/70/Jr; Dated 05/03/1970. This Junior High School was upgraded as a X class High School w.e.f. 01/01/1987 by the WBBSE vide Memo No. - S/482; Dated - 05/07/1988. After a few years the school was upgraded as a Higher Secondary School recognized by West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education w.e.f. 2006-07 Academic Session vide Memo No. DS(A)SD/50/Recog/06; Dated - 16/06/2006. It is now a Co-educational Higher Secondary School.
