History
History is a very dynamic subject and more so in respect of our beloved school. A great teacher and visionary, Late Batakrishna Hazra with the help of Late Ranu Kundu, Surendranath Palui, Bhusan Chandra Santra, Bipin Chandra Maur, Radhika Prasad Dey etc laid the foundation of the institution the in 1943 A.D to impart education to the rural folks. Initially the school was located in Kanpur village. But with the passage of time, number of students increased and the small infrastructure seemed inadequate to cater the ever increasing demand. So, the villagers took leading role to shift the school at its present place which was a secluded place, adjacent to a funeral ground and a canal. But Late Batakrishna Hazra took the onus of transforming that place to the present seat of learning which boasts of a big football ground, beautiful gardens, thirty classrooms, a library, laboratory, gymnasium, computer laboratory, newly built Audio Visual room, canteen. All the amenities are there for the students to flourish in the midst of a serene and calm atmosphere. Moreover there is a small temple like structure which houses Swami Vivekananda, who is our role model.
