History

The school Balpai Prafulla Chandra Sen Vidyamandir has seen many  ups and downs as it is on the threshold of celebrating 150th anniversary. The school was established in the year 1889 in a small thatched house. Later on it got its permissions in different phases. It got its permission of 2 class junior high school in 1955, then 4 class junior high school in 1959 and got its co education permission in 1963 and after a long agonising wait our school  with the help of well wishers was upgraded to a High school in 2018 with a small number of students. We are thankful to the school  and its staffs who served the locality from its creation. We are also happy to be torch bearers of this great institution, we hope the coming generation will happily be a part of it making it more successful and prosperous to create a better scenario for the generations to come.
