
In order to educate the women society of the village a school for women was established in 16th of January, 1987 with the help and support of all the villagers staying there. At that time, the school had no building of its own. Classes were conducted in Palaspai Paschim Baroari Satyanaran Thakurbari. The former name of this school was Palaspai Uchcha Balika Vidyala, Hooghly. The land on which the School building was constructed was lent by Palaspai Paschim Baroari. The founders of the school namely Lt. Gopal Chandra Mondal, Lt Ajijul Haque and Shri Aditya Karak. The doners of the school are Shri Ratikanta Shee and Shri Kartick Chandra Samanta. In 1992, our school got affilation for junior high school, in 2000 got affiliation for High School and in 2006 got affilation for Higher Secondary. In 2007, the name of the school changed into Palaspai Bejoy Modak Uchcha Balika Vidyalaya. In 2009, the school under West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training for VIII+ level got affilation for a short term course for two units namely Tailoring and Automobile Maintenance. Till 2010 the school has been run by a Teacher In-charge and finally on 18th June, Mrs Dipa Datta joined as the first Headmistress of Palaspai Bejoy Modak Uchcha Balika Vidyalaya. The school is being converted to Government Sponsored School in 2015 from Government Aided School.
