History

In 1920, Mr. Narendra nath Mukherjee- eldest son of late Rajendra nath Mukherjee established a school at Bakulia for the advancement of people of neighbouring area. Initially the name of the school was "Minor English School". Then it was upto class vi. In 1927, the main building of the school was constructed and the school was upgraded to class viii. The old building was converted to students' hostel and teachers' quarter. In 1950, the school was upgraded to class ix and next year to class x. In 1952, the first batch was sent for School Final Examination. That time Mr. Jyorindra Dasgupta was the Headmaster of the school.
