Education is the manifestation of perfection already in man". D.S.B.V. facilitates to bring forth the inner abilities of the beautiful young buds of Digsui and its surrounding villages to be sprout out to a complete flower. Iswarchandra Vidyasagar himself marked a place at Digsui that a girls'school could be established. On the marked place D.S.B.V. was established as a Co-ed school. It made its big debut in 1932,even 15 years before India earned her freedom. Now it is one of the renowned H.S. schools at Chinsurah-Mogra Block in Hooghly with a strong intellectual heartbeat. In D.S.B.V.- under a highly qualified and a great human's supervision,21 well experienced and highly qualified guides are guiding about 1000 future citizens of India in such a way that they can make our country proud in the world. In 2020, Science Stream has been introduced in H.S. level with well equipped laboratory facilities.
