History

Dukhi Singh Hindi Primary School is located in Chak Bansberia,Bansberia, Hooghly. This school is named after a kind and a good-hearted person Sri. Dukhi Singh. A person who was very simple in looks but was a great social reformer. He was the first who thought of educating everybody irrespective of their social status, caste, creed, religion etc. He thought that this can bring equality among all. With this view he donated a part of his land for primary and high schools and hence these schools were named after him.The seed he sowed has now turned into a big tree imparting education to every kid in this area.

Now there are 12 dedicated and professional faculty members who impart quality education to children in this school.Today this is the most populated Hindi Primary school in Mogra Circle. This school provides an opportunity to many kids who can't afford to go to private schools as here most of the families are economically backward.
