History
When the school didn't get it's government approval; it started it's journey at the Verandah of Late Dwarikanath Jana. Later the school got its approval in the year of 1930 after Dibakar Chakraborty donated the land as the school started on that place . Anil chandra Chakrabortty was the founder of this school. When Biswanath Uththasani was the Head teacher of the school ; respected Mahadeb Kamley joined the school as an assistant teacher in 1961. Later he became the Head teacher. After observing the ruination Condition of the school he called the villagers and started the renovation of the school. An amount of rupees 40 thousand was granted from the BDO of Singur.Besides the villagers extended the helping hands for school development. Respected Mahadeb Kamley encouraged local youth community .Persons like Ranendranath Bera, Ranendranath Mondal , Haru Samal ,Arabinda Bhowmik, Arabinda Jana , Shambhunath Patra;Shambhunath Samanta ;Tufan Santra;Sanatan Dhan ; Ajit Mondal were notable among them.The renovation work of the school started with the earnest efforts from Mahadeb Kamley and the youth community and help from the villagers .An area of 6 shatak land of the school was also recovered .Thus the school initially started in a good relationships among the teacher's and the students ; also the villagers . According to the communities as the villagers from Chakam were mostly involved and cooperated for school development the school named after the village Chakam ; Chakam Primary school. Though it is constructed at village-Baijala. At present the school is still in its developing process as it's get effective efforts from the Wellwishers- Teacher's; Student's and also the communities.
