
Pawnan Radharani high school(H.S.) is a co-educational Madhyamik with higher secondary institution. It is situated in village & post- Pawnan, P.S- Polba, District- Hooghly under sadar subdivision West Bengal.
This school was first established as a M.E.( Middle English ) School named “The Siddheswar M.E. School” by Siddheswar Bandopadhyay. The then resident of Pawnan with the effort of other villagers. The school was renovated in the infrastructure by the financial help of Nalini Mohan Bandopadhyay and was renamed as “Nalini Mohan institution”.
At last in 1946 the school was again renamed as Pawnan Radharani High School. It was constructed newly with the financial help of Balaichand Biswas and also by some other villagers named Surendra Nath Mukhopadhyay, Sarat Chandra Sur, Dr. Krishnachandra Sur, Tinkari Sur, Dr. Balaichand Sur, etc.
The school celebrated its 100 years of celebration in 1998.
The school had been running with class V to X till 2013- 2014. Now the School has been recognised as a higher secondary school from 2014-15 session.
