
Boso Priyanath High School as we see today has developed with lots of difficulties. Reverend Late Ram Bahadur Gopal Mitra with his utmost efficiency tried his level best for the higher education of the children of Boso villagers and its outskirts in the year 1935-36. After lots of impediments, the school stated in the name of Boso Junior High School in the same building of Boso Bosudha Basini Primary School on 1st April 1960. The pioneer of introducing such a benevolent job are Late Dhiren Mitra, Late Sudhanshu Shekhar Mukherjee and Reverend Kenaram Das. Later the school has been shifted to the “Durge Dalan” of Boso Zaminder as per govt. rules. Here the school got its affiliation for classes five and six on 01/01/1962. The school bulding started permanently at “ Boso Fatakgora” where it is presently situated. The registration cost for this vast property of the school has been borne by a beneficiary named Late Mrityunjoy Kundu, Later the school obtained the affiliation of class seven and eight on 01/01/1964. The institution has gained the name of Boso High School after attaining the affiliation of class ten in the year 1966. Though the school got affiliation of Higher Secondary in the year 1970 but soon it ceased to exist. Late Rajendra Nath Majumder donated on conditions rupees 35000/- in memory of his father Late Priyanath Majumdar and soon the school got its recognition as Boso Priyanath High School in the year 1975, our dreams came true in the year 2004 when the school got its permanent recognition as a Higher Secondary School. In the year 2014 the school has been upgraded from Government aided to Government sponsored school. Since then the journey has been continuing till date.
