Bandel St. John’s School was established in 1870 by the then Prior of Bandel Church, Rev. AC. Rodriguez, and is owned and administered by the Salesians of Don Bosco.
It is a Christian Minority Educational Institution and as such, it is primarily meant for the Christian students. However, if seats are available, other children, irrespective of caste and creed, may also be admitted.
It is a Government aided, Bengali Medium School.
