History

Kapasdanga GSFP 1 School was established on 04/01/1954 at the Kapasdanga colony base area. Then the school was only for children of refugees who had come from Bangladesh by losing everything. More schools like this were established at Kapasdanga colony area named Kapasdanga GSFP 2 and Kapasdanga GSFP 3.In 1947 after the freedom of India, govt. provided land for the refugees which was called the colony. At that time some wellwisher of society come forward for the basic education of the children of the refugees, among them Sri Narayan Chandra Singha, Hiranmoyee Roy Chowdhury, Kailash Das were main. Then a study was carried out under a tree, no school building was there. After that Govt. took responsibility for these types of schools as well as the basic educations of these types of children and made govt. school. From then the School was known as Kapasdanga GSFP 1. Then students came from different places. At that time a huge number of students came to school as result they faced problems sitting in a small compound. But after that govt provides all types of facilities for the students.
