Sahaganj Dunlop Hindi High School (H.S) was established in 1958 in Dunlop Estate at Sahaganj, Hooghly (W.B) as private Hindi medium school with the support of Dunlop India Ltd. The school got recognition as Junior High School (2 class) under W.B.B.S.E w.e.f 1st April,1960 and Junior High School (4 class) w.e.f. 1st March,1961.The school got the status of High School w.e.f. 1st January,1965 under W.B.B.S.E. The school became XI class high school with Arts and Science streams w.e.f. 1st January,1969. Under the new education system the school became a higher secondary school in Arts and Science Stream w.e.f 1st July,2002. The school Started NCC for the students in 1981.The vocational study unit was introduced in 2010.
Sri Ambika Prasad Singh (M.A B.T) was the founder headmaster of the school. The school has a record of academic excellences. It has produced many reputed doctors, engineers,educators and professionals in various fields.
