History

INDUMATI GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL (H.S.) has been the oasis of the poorest of poor students both financially and culturally  and also castewise for nearly 62 years. It was founded in the year 1958 by a group of Educationist and patriot like two Ex-Mayor of Chandannagar, late Angshu Bhusan Mitra and late Kamal Prasad Ghosh. The building was donated by late Dr. Jyoti Prasad Ghosh. Since then the school nurtured many National Players in different fields, bankers, teachers, health workers, and sales women in retail.

The main feature of our history is to transform the first generation learner to a confident professional who can contribute to her family and the nation.

It was updated junior high to high school and recently to higher secondary school in the year 2016.Our rate of success in board examintion is generally more than 90%. Students take part in games and sports, dance , drama, music , science exhibition, quiz , symposium and other kind regularly and become successful both in Government and Non Government zone.
