The school was established by a philanthropist organization: Anjuman Falahul Muslemeen.This organization also donated its land situated at 9 J.S.Road, Rishra to the school upon which the then school building was constructed. The school was established on 04.05.1958 as a junior High School. The school got its first recognition as a 2-class Junior High school (Classes V and VI) with effect from 01.04.1960.The progress of the school was initially was slow. The school had low roll strength during the initial 10 years .Though the school was recognized for classes v and vi only, it ran upto class viii.
The school was upgraded as 4 class Junior High School with effect from 01.01.1978 vide Memo.No.S/117 dated 17.03.1979. By then the roll strength of the school had increased significantly. The school was further upgraded as a X class High school with effect from 01.01.1980 vide Memo. No.S/432 dated 27.07.1981.The school was running in a small building and had no scope for expansion or construction of further classrooms on the existing old building.
The school got a plot of land measuring more than 10 kathas,from the owners of Murlidhar Ratanlal Exports, also known as Hastings Jute Mills, Rishra in 2009 after too much and continuous efforts.
The construction of the new building of the school at 3/5,Anjuman Road started in 2011 and after construction of two classrooms there, the school was upgraded as a Higher Secondary institution vide Memo.No.DS(A)SD/322/Recog/11 dated 20.12.2011.The school started admission in class XI in 2012 and the first batch of its regular students appeared at Higher Secondary Examination in 2014.
