History

Dankuni Sree Ramkrishna Vidyashram Girls High School has the glory in its very name which reminds us the great sage of all ages Shri Ramkrishna Paramahansa  Deb.

This institution started its glorious journey on january 11,1970. The institution was founded by late Shri Ramani Mohan Chowdhury , holy soul and direct disciple of Maa Sarada. During the first phase of 1960 there was no seperate girls school  in Dankuni. At the beginning Dankuni Girls School was started together with the boys school. The morning session was for the girls and the afternoon session for the boys. With the increase in the number of girls students, the need for seperate building for girls was felt. Then the Headmistress, Mrs . Bela Sanyal took huge initiative to set up separate building and this was ultimately materialised on October 13, 1985.

Before this , the school was approved as a junior high school .On jan. 01,1971 and became Madhyamik School with the approval of Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad on jan 01, 1978.On jan 01,1980 the school was included Grant-in -Aid scheme . On February 23, 2015 the school was recognized as a  Govt. Sponsored Institution.From a primary school now the Institution is going to reach the doorstep of a Higher Secondary school with the capasity of almost 1000 students. It has the successful venture in the field of computer education as well. We all look forword to a more prosperous and brilliant  future of our beloved institution.
