History

Monber Kalitala Board Primary School(C-27) is one of the oldest schools of Chanditala Circle in Hooghly District.In 1947,it was established by a group of local social workers,led by former Union Board President Jibankrishna Ghosh.Anathbandhu Ghosh,Sachin Biswas,Jatindranath Ghosh,Madanmohan Ghosh etc.donated their land for this great purpose.A one storeyed house as school building had been made at Monber,near the traditional Kali Temple beside the Benaras Road.Naturally it had been developed with times.A new two-storeyed building with welded roof was made in 2003 by the financial help of Honourable Member of Parliament of that time,Akbar Ali Khandakar.The local panchayet,led by Pradhan Shyamal Ghosh played a significant role for the development of the school.Now it is a well-developed and one of the leading educational institution of the area,working incessantly for complete learning of our pupils.
