Welcome to the Helna Susunia Matri Smriti High school (H.S.) website.

 

Helna Susunia Matri Smriti High School (H.S.) now a Govt. sponsored educational institution was set up in the January, 1950 by Mr. Ramgati Bandopadhyay, well renowned physician who later became an MP (Member Parliament) and his elder brother Mr. Bholanath Bandopadhyay, a well known educationist. The school was named after the fond memory of these their late mother. The education interested people of the village Helna Susunia made a great effort to co-operate these two worthy sons of the sail in setting up this institution. This educational institution was inaugurated by his excellency Mr. Kailashnath Katju, the then governor of West Bengal.

In the year 1952, the School was recognised as Two class High School, followed by Four class Jr. High School in 1954. The School upgradration to High School on & from 1st January, 1964. After a long and great effort this institution was upgrated to HS School (Arts Stream) in the year 2015-2016.

In the 1965, Four students of this school turned up first time in school final Examination and two of them came out successfully. After the upgradation to High School, two students of this school, shri Tarapada Karmakar and Shri Shibdas Karmakar obtained "Natinal scholarship" after having secured 100% and 99% marks respectively in Mathematics.

Ministry of Human Development, Govt. of India, offered National Awards "for Teachers," 1998 given in public recognition of valuable service to the community as a teacher of outstanding merit to shri Tirtha Gopal Mukhopadhyay, the Ex-Headmaster of this school on 5th September, 1994, shri Mukhopadhyay received this covetable citation from Dr. Shankardoyal Sharma, respected President of India.

Since its appearance, in the fild of education, this institution has been trying its best to provide a safe, caring and nurturing anvironment for the students.
