Realizing the quotation some people of the locality contributed their efforts to established a primary school in the remote area in 1910. Gradually it was converted to middle school upto class VI, then to a junior high school upto class VIII. Finally the school turned to a secondary school upto class X in 1962 which is the date of establishment in the record book of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. Now the school is designated as Govt. sponsored Higher Secondary school with Science, Arts, Commerce and Vocation courses. About 1500 students are in this school. Academic activities and infrastructural developments are now in a sound position. Our well-educated and energetic staff and Managing Committee always provide their best for high quality of education.

- Year 2017 - Seventh in W.B. Madhyamik Pariksha
- Year 2018 - Tenth in W.B. Madhyamik Pariksha
