Dadhimukha High School is located in the village Dadhimukha. The Schools started its journey before Independence as a Middle Class School in 1936. Local thinkers and well-wishers founded this school of their own in the interest of the students of the locality. They contributed both in cash and in kind. Even they donated the entire land for the foundation of the school. Moreover they did not hesitate to toil physically. From the beginning it faced acute financial problem that could not stunt their enthusiasm at all. Many a time and oft students were compelled to sit under the foot of the trees for want of classrooms. But they did not stop. All thanks would go to the untiring efforts of the locals and of course the education lovers. Among them mention must be made of Late Tinkari Bandyopadhyay, Late Bireswakishor Goswami, Late Jogendranath Chattaraj, Late Prasad Rajguru, Late Narendranath Rajguru, Late Ashutosh Chatterjee, Late Anangamohan Hazra, Late Satkari Bandyopadhyay, Late Sudhir Chattaraj , Late Dhirendranath Singhathakur, Late Romanath Mukhopadhyay Late Umapada Chattaraj , Late Lalbihari Bhattacharya and many others. The school was upgraded to the status of Madhyamik School on 21st January, 1947. It was really unthinkable to found such a high school in such a remote village Dadhimukha. Monthly collection of rice from the villages of the catchment area contributed a lot to the Foundation. Overall sincerity, love, respect and cooperation played a vital role in flourishing this age-old institution. At present the school is running in full swing having so many classrooms, so many subjects being taught in the H.S. Section which was approved in 1979. Managing Committees in different times come forefront to the uplift and well-being of the school. In recent years, the results of the students of both M.P. and H.S. Sections are really appealing and surprising. Most of the students of the school are now established in different spheres of the Society. Along with reading and learning, the school authorities have arranged for sports and games from time to time. Cultural side of the school can never be ignored. Staging of short plays, quizzes, debating, singing, dancing and many others transpire often. Besides tree plantation, Nirmal Vaidya Avian, educational trips, Annual Sports take place in time. Vocational Stream is running side by side though there is shortage of instructors. At present student strength is not satisfactory as there are two other High Schools in the catchment area. There are some problems regarding stuff and subjects like Nutrition, Education and Computer Science. It is expected that such subjects will attract more and more students in the HS Section. New and sophisticated instruments are the urgent need for the Laboratory of the school. So many books are needed to modernise the school library, to make it e-library. School boundary is a must for the school. School Mid-day-meal shade needs repairing as early as possible. Plenty of sports materials will no doubt encourage the students. The school requires a large Cycle Shade. In spite of so many obstacles the institution is proceeding further and further and it is expected to flourish more and more. THE SCHOOL WILL 'LIGHT MORE LIGHT '.
