Jorehira sc high school(H.S.)is a very popular school in this area. So many students come to our school from  the area of 6kms radius. It is a co-educational school.this  school runs with about 1300 students.The no. of SC ST students is greater than General StudentsGirls students is greater than Boys students. this school is situated beside the highway of Bankura-Saltora roadand about 30kms away from Bankura Busstand. It is about 8kms from Jhantipahari Rly. station.This school was established on 1956.At first it started with 2-class and later gets recognition as 4- class. The school gained recognition as X -classw.e.f.1959 and it is upgreaded as XII class on 2002 and get recognition from WBCHSE. This school has recognition  of Arts and Science Stream in H.S.section but science stream cannot run for wanting of teachers.The Board result of this school is good.
