History of the School:-    Keshra High School was set up in the year 1961 in Vill- Keshra, P.O.- Mandal keshra under Saldiha Gram Panchayat, Block-Chhatna, Subdivision- Bankura, Dist- Bankura in West Bengal by Rabindranath Mandal, founder secretary and 1st Headmaster of the school with the urgent need and help of the locality but the school got govt. affiliation in the year 1963. The school got 1st recognition as a 2- class Junior high School with effect from 1st january, 1963 vide Memo No.- 29537/G dated 05/12/1963. The recognition was extended as 2- class junior high school upto 31/12/1965. Next it got recognition as a 4- class junior high school w.e.f. 01/01/65 to 31/12/66 with classes v to viii vide Memo No.- 4715/g dated 28/03/1966. Then it was raised to the status of a xi class school w.e.f. 01/01/1966 vide Memo No.- 12381/g dated 07/04/1967. After that, when (10+2) class started the school has been running as a x class secondary school.
