History

It is heard that school was established in 1884 but there is no document to the authority concerned to prove this.

Likewise people say that the school was running as a National University from 1918 to 1920.

It is known from a document found in school that in 1937 the school got permission as ME school from Burdwan Division and later in 1957 it got the permission as IV class school. Afterwards in 1964 and 1997 the school has been promoted to Secondary and Higher secondary respectively.

Before the year 1972, it was a lump grant school and later in 01.05.1972 it has became as a Salary Deficit School.
