The school was first recognized as a 2-class Junior High School ( Vide W.B.B.S.E's memo.no.--17360-4-G dtd 17.8.1965 ) w.e.f. 01.01.1964.Then upgraded to a 4-class Junior High School w.e.f. 01.01.1967 (vide W.B.B.S.E.'s memo. no.306-Jr dtd 12.08.1968 ) . With the increase in no.of Students it was upgraded further to a X- class school by W.B.B.S.E. w.e.f.01.05.1996 (vide memo. no. S-Recog-96-46 dtd 07.03.1996). Lastly the school is upgraded to H.S.(10plus 2) level by W.B.COUNCIL of H.S. Education in2006-2007 academic session (its memo.no.DS(A)-SD-221-Recog-06 dtd 05.07.2006. The school comes under salary deficit scheme w.e.f.01.01.1979.vide G.O.no. 2664--Edn(s) dated 21.12.1978. Now the school has attained the status of a Government Sponsored School under School Education Department, Govt. of W.B. ( vide WBSED' s memo.no.4183--RMSA-SL- 5S--264--12. The School is going on smoothly.
