 Some eminent persons of this locality like sree manik Lal mahanta,sree durgapada mahanta ,sree sudhir dangar ,all the lovers of education came forward to establish the school in 1964 to wipe out the darkness of ignorance and illiteracy and to spread the bright light of education in this back water of salbedia .To materialise their Noble endeavour in the field of education , another bright star ,educationest Mr sadhan Kumar singha stretched his helping hands.some enthusiastic   persons of this locality  whose sincere effort and untiring labour have  ignited this grand dream into a reality are Kamalakanta Mahanta,prollhad dangar,Nimai Charan singha, Amarendra  Mahanta,kirtibus Chakraborty,Bhutnath Bhatacharya,Haripada Acharya,Nisapati Singh,Sasadhar Benarjee,Fakir Chandra karmakar,Nirapada Mandal,kalikrishna Chakraborty,Sosanka Malla.At last a senior basic school was set up in 1965 at Hattola, salbedia village  under the aegis and assistance of the  Amarkanan sevadal Ashram. Honourable Mr Ramchandra Mahanta  was the only teacher  who took up the responsibility of imparting education of this school.There after  Mr purnachandra Mahanta imparted education  for a brief period in this school.After that The Respected D.I  inspected the school and affiliated it as three class Junior High school on 1st January in 1967.Land became necessity to build the school.This land problem was solved  by the Singh's of Nabagram and the Mahantas of Salbedia who donated land for the school willingly.The school building was founded on and salbedia Vivekananda Junior  high school  started his onward journey.Finally the school has been set on motion through the teaching of honourable teachers like Mr Ramchandra Mahanta,Mr ParimolSingha,Mr Ajit kumar karmakar,Mr Anath nath karmakar.In 1978 the school was upgraded to a Madhyamik school, named Salbedia Vivekananda High School. At that time Laxminarayan Sinha,Biswarup Mandal,Baskar Chandra Mandal,Sankar Das Bhadra,Kallayni Prasad singha,santimoy Sinha,and later Kartik ch kundu,Rajendra nath patra,Durgadas halder,Krishna ch mondal -these eminent teachers were appointed to spread education in the locality.  The non teaching staff s Fakir Chandra Tantubay,saroj Kumar Mahanta were also associated  in the school from the construction period of the school.From then the teaching stuff are bearing the torch light of education to enlighten the future generation of the locality.
