History

Situated at village Somsar under Indas block in Bishnupur Sub-Division under the district Bankura.H's Geographical importance is that is located on the bank of river Damodar. Here another river Shali meets Dampdar.At first it was emerged as an organised School in 1967 by the efforts of three Honorable Teachers.The school gates Government organization from 01/01/1971 as Four (IV) class then it uplifts to  class Ten (X) in 2000 finally the school is running as higher secondary from 2009.

Shyamsar High School (H.S) is a State Government sponsored School situated in Indus block under Bishnupur Sub-Division in the district Bankura. It is on the bank of river Damodar. Ramkrishna Mission veary near to the school. Villagers are proud of the School. This School has importance to the villagers as it imports education to the young student.
