History

On 31st August, 1893 the Indas High School was established at Indas Block, District Bankura. To spread out the education and it's culture among the people, Indas High School plays a major role. We are very thankful to all of those famous persons who helps us to build up this high school before Independent of our country.

After established, the Indas High School was grown up up very quickly, that's why Government marked us as a High School, in 1st January, 1895.

This is the golden year for Indas High School, because for the first time, we got top ranked in Madhyamik Examination under Bankura district. We are very much thankful to one of our brightest students Ajit Bhattarcharya, who helped to make us proud.

The history of Higher Secondary Education described above makes it crystal clear that the higher secondary classes (11 & 12) are integral part of the school education. We are very thankful to say you that we started Higher Secondary since 1976.

This year is one of the memorable year for us, because for the second time, we got top ranked in Madhyamik Examination under Bankura district. We are very much thankful to one of our brightest students Atanu Roy, who helped us to achieve this.

National Cadget Corps (NCC) is a youth organization, where young school & college students can join. It's motto is "Unity & Discipline. The aim of NCC is to develop qualities of character, discipline, leadership and ideals of selfless service among the youth.

The National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) is a competency-based framework that organizes all qualifications according to a series of levels of knowledge, skills and aptitude. These levels, graded from one to ten, are defined in terms of learning outcomes which the learner must possess regardless of whether they are obtained through formal, non-formal or informal learning. NSQF in India was notified on 27th December 2013. In 2016 NSQF project was started in Indas High School, where two courses (IT/ITES & RETAIL) are actively running still now.

In this year our school have got some sports achivment in state level as well as district level, they are :

  • Kho-Kho Meet State Level (Under 17)
  • Football State Level Meet
  • Football District Level Meet

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in schools have been subsumed in the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA). The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Schools was launched in December, 2004 and revised in 2010 to provide opportunities to secondary stage students to mainly build their capacity on ICT skills and make them learn through computer aided learning process. We are very thankful to say that, we got the permission to run this project at our school in 2017.
