Hirbandh High School is one of the heritage School in south Bankura .It was established in 1942 by some praiseworthy people. The School was reorganization as X Class High School w.e.f. 01/01/1944, sanctioned by the register of Calcutta University vide memo no . S7135/pro1221 dated 22/12/1943. The school upgraded XII class Higher Secondary School w.e.f 01/07/1976 vide memo no 2687/ Recog Dated 17/05/1976. At present the School is a State Govt. Sponsored School.
