History

Tilaboni  High School was set up in -1970 by the sincere effort of the inhabitant of Tilaboni Village under the leadership of Honourable late Sunirmal Mandal. At first the School started with the Students reading in Class V (Five) in 1970, gradually started Class VI (six) 1971, VII (Seven) in1972 and in VIII (Eight) in1973 the school runs under the D.I. of Schools S(SE) Bankura. At first this School was recognized by the Govt. as a 2 (Two) Class Junior High School ( Class-V-VI) Vide Memo No.-69/Jr. Date-12-01-1972. W.e.f.-01-01-1971. Next the School  got its govt. recognition as a IV class Junior High School (Class VII & VIII) w.e.f. 01.04.1947 Vide Memo No. 915/Junior 17.09.1974. The School got its Co-Education permission from the govt. w.e.f. 01.01.1974 Vide Memo No. 7412/Junior, 19.08.1980 having due recommendation of the State govt. Vide Memo No.1551/ SE(S)/35-33/99, 23.12.2005,the School has been upgraded as a High School w.e.f. 01.05.2005 by the W.B.Bord of Secondary Education for class IX, There after Class X w.e.f. 01.05.2006 Vide Memo No.S/Recog/2006/272,08.02.2006. The first batch of students of this school appeared at the Madhyamik Examination 2007 under the West Bangal Board of Secondary Education and this prosses is going on regularly.
