History

There was no high school near Bhului and its adjacent village namely Ghusra, Kalikapur, Ardhagram and so most of the children were left out after completion of their primary education due to non availability of high school nearby. Especially for girls child there was no scope to go to the high school far away from home at Mejia High school. People of this area felt to establish a high school at their village. With the inspiration of Sri Dibakar Patra (Headmaster, Mejia High School), some people of this village held a meeting regarding this matter at the premises of ASTA NAYAKA DURGA MANDIR in this village just before the durga puja festival in 1968.Some of the notable person who were present in this meeting- Dibakar Patra(Headmaster, Mejia High School), Ramratan Roy(villager), Rabilochan Nayek(villager), Shibaram Roy(villager), Ramrup Roy(villager) , Chandidas Mukherjee(villager), Ramkinkar Mukherjee(villager), Ramnarayan Roy(villager). In this first meeting they decided to establish a high school at this village and form a committee among the member present at that meeting. This committee take over the charges for collection of money and land .Some honourable member from Roy and Mukherjee family of Bhului donated 3.33 acre land for the proposed school without any terms and conditions. Later Sri Sadananda Roy of Bhului donated land for connectivity of the school to the main road. Almost each and every people of this area donated money for this purpose and one of them Sri Ramnarayan Roy who donated Rs. 10,000/-( Ten thousand) .The name of the school  was proposed and passed in a meeting  by the committee as “BHULUI SASHI SEKHOR ROY VIDYAPITH(HIGH SCHOOL)” .The school was started with class V &VI and then organiser teachers were

  2. Akul Chandra Layek(A/T)
  3. Kritibhushan Patra(A/T)
  4. Sunirmal Mukherjee(A/T)

Ultimately the school got recognition from West Bengal Board Of Secondary  Education w.e.f. 01-01-1971 as 2+ Junior High School  and it was upgraded to 4+ Junior High School in 1984 and to High School in 2005.
